A large conference room at Sega headquarters in Japan. The room is filled with developers and executives, all gathered to hear Shoichiro Irimajiri, the CEO of Sega, deliver a motivational speech. The atmosphere is tense, as the Dreamcast has struggled to gain traction in the crowded video game market and many are concerned about the future of the company. Irimajiri stands at the front of the room, facing the audience, his voice ringing out as he delivers his impassioned address. The walls are adorned with posters and images of past Sega games, reminding everyone of the company's rich history and heritage. The room is silent as Irimajiri speaks, his words ringing with the conviction and passion of a true leader.

YUJI NAKA. O that we now had here But fifty of those developers in the Console world That do not support us today!

IRIMAJIRI: What's he that wishes so? My colleague, Yuiji Naka? No, my fair colleague; If we are marked to fail, we are enough To do our console loss;

and if to succeed, The fewer developers, the greater share of honor.

God's will! I pray thee, wish not one more. By Jove, I am not covetous for market share, Nor care I who develops for our platform;

It yearns me not if others make games for us; Such outward things dwell not in my desires. But if it be a sin to covet honor, I am the most offending soul alive. No, faith, my colleague, wish not a developer from elsewhere.

God's peace! I would not lose so great an honor As one developer more methinks would detract from us For the best hope I have. O, do not wish one more! Rather proclaim it, Yuiji Naka, through our Dreamcast family, That he who hath no stomach for this fight, Let him depart; his platform shall be changed, And opportunity for success put elsewhere; We would not die in that developer's company

That fears their association to die with us. This day is called the feast of Dreamcast. He that outlives this day, and comes safe home, Will stand a tip-toe when this day is named, And rouse him at the name of Dreamcast. He that shall live this day, and see success, Will yearly on the vigil feast his partners, And say "Tomorrow is the Dreamcast's day."

Then will he strip his sleeve and show his commitment, And say "These games I made on Dreamcast's day." Developers forget; yet all shall be forgotten, But he'll remember, with advantages, What feats he did that day. Then shall our names, Familiar in his mouth as household words— Irimajiri the King, Naka and all our partners, Be in their flowing cups freshly remembered.

This story shall the good developer teach his son; And Dreamcast shall never go by, From this day to the end of the gaming world, But we in it shall be remembered— We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; For he today that develops with us Shall be our brother; be he never so unworthy, This day shall dignify his status; And developers in the gaming world now asleep Shall think themselves accursed they were not here, And hold their careers cheap whilst any speaks That worked with us upon the Dreamcast's day.
