There are a decent number out there but I'm not really familiar with South Jersey. I have a friend who's on an over 40 11v11 mens team in Hunterdon County and another in a 7v7 league in Morris County.
Personally, I prefer pickup games to formal teams. Less complaining, more touches, more chances to be creative and have fun vs caring about winning.
You can usually find a good local pickup game using the meetup app.
