It is safer overall than other psychedelics imo despite being more intense because it really does wear off in that short time period where not much damage can really be done, but psychologically its a different thing. I wouldn't assume it will be comfortable just because of the short physical timespan, because moments can feel like eternities in that state. But the 20 minute irl timespan is big, because its not like someone will just find you 6 hours after taking a megadose of lsd or whatever incomprehensibly babbling to yourself and commit you so there is that. I'm kinda content thinking what the poaster said above that it's unique among the psychedelics in that it most faithfully reproduces (or represents) background cognitive processes.
