If I'm playing some random FPS, I put it on easy because there's no telling when I'll get killed in 0.1 seconds due to zero i-frames. Or something where you can save at any time - who knows, maybe I'll save with like 1% health remaining like a moron, with no way to start over at a more reasonable spot. Tons of western games are like this. Meanwhile, intellectual games like MGS can be played on Extreme and the challenge is a PLEASURE and and a privilege to experience. that's the difference.
