I think people who say otherwise are in something maybe even worse and think "wanting out" would somehow make it better. I think the only thing that makes it work is if you are really compatible with the girl on another level to the point where you just want to be together no matter what. Probably rare. I think it's possible for long periods if you give up on everything other than how compatible you are with the person and find someone who you understanding each other outweighs everything else.
