Wife is wiped out with Covid. Get paxlovid or let nature take its course?

Exhausted and achy all day today. Just tested positive. Should she get paxlovid to feel better soon and maybe enjoy the rest of the holiday week? Or just slide and let do? Neither took it. My dad (vaxxed) was back to normal within 4 days. My mom (unvaxxed) was back to normal within 7 days. OTOH, I've heard multiple anecdotes from friends' whose parents/relatives took Paxlovid and gotten rebound Covid after 5-6 days, effectively prolonging their illness by 7+ days. |

didnt have any real side effects apart from the funky mouth taste that eating peanut butter fixed but i heard its hard on the kidneys idk
by the time you have bad symptoms (if) its too late to start taking it |

i did seem to get some sort of "long covid" though, which i thought was complete flame before |
