Lmao, listen, we're at the age where we've all interviewed quite a few people. Have any of you ever cared about this shit? I certainly haven't, aside from hobbies that seem to imply that they spend a lot of time doing really unrelated things and that they probably aren't hard workers at their actual jobs.

Right, which is what we actually want to see. Best case scenario: it is neutral because it confirms what we expect. Worst case: it is something retarded and we're put off ("I'm supposed to be a tech expert but my hobbies are being a male feminist and feminist art and literature..."). Also, lol at people that put controversial shit in this ("I help advocate for Israeli soldiers who many discriminate against because they're so-called 'baby killers' and generally are accused of committing war crimes").

Being aggressively pro-Israel is generally going to get your resume passed over.

A lot has changed in about 3 years. https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2026/07/09/americans-views-of-israelis-have-grown-increasingly-negative-but-views-of-palestinians-have-held-fairly-steady/
Note that per the poll that not even a majority of American Jews view the Israeli government positively anymore and what I'm describing is someone that is basically advocating for the worst aspects of that government. A bunch of American Jews would ding them too.
The people that are most positive towards this stuff are basically old prole christian evangelicals who aren't in law or finance. Good luck getting through a hiring committee without at least one person saying "no, I don't like them, pick someone else."
