when I was a-coming up in the world this thing was considered pure Basement Nerd Shit and was almost shameful to mention in the wrong company. but now there's like all of these social groups made up of "normal" people with families who gather around and play stuff that is more obscure than Dungeons & Dragons. and it is all very White Person coded too. I think this is how White People have responded to the shattered reality of modernity maybe.
