Fun Fact: For any non paleo-fans out there, Nautilus bear a close resemblance to a type of prehistoric creature known as Ammonites, which lived before and during the mesozoic era and went extinct due to the K-PG mass extinction.
However, despite their close resemblance, Nautilus are more closely related to modern cephalopods then they are to Ammonites, which is a remarkable example of convergent evolution.
