Taylor Schabusiness smoked meth and chopped her friend's head off and put it in a bucket, pleaded insanity, and was found guilty. I was sympathetic to this defendant and was mildly surprised she was convicted. The amount of evidence there is that Lindsay Clancy was psychotic is 70,000k times stronger than in the Schabusiness case. Altruistic suicide was brought up by this defense witness as the motive. It was later offered by the prosecution witness, at which point the two sides converged on motive but differed on criminal responsibility. |

If half the jury believed she knew it was wrong and half believed she didn't but knew it was illegal and could control herself, she's responsible. Wtf is the significance of "merger?" |
