Got into an argument with my gf about her dead dad. Need opinions

I don't know the exact situation but he ended up staying in New Jersey, and her mom took her to Colorado where they live now. He died a while back (a fact she constantly brings up and cries about, meanwhile my mom and brother died back to back two years ago and I never bring it up) and they went to New Jersey after he died to collect his belongings.
Anyways he had some flash drives, CDs, whatever other sort of storage shit she inherited. Her mom kept asking her to go through it but she refused, because she said it was too painful. Recently her mom asked her to go through it again because, "she wanted closure" so she did.
She ended up finding a sex tape her dad had with some random woman on a flash drive, and immediately told her mom about it. She claims it was because he constantly wanted to get back with her mom, said he never moved on, etc. This was presented to me as a matter of "giving us closure, he was a pig" and I was just completely fucking astounded by the whole ordeal. I asked her why she would look through his shit, why would she tell her mom, just the whole nine yards. She said she feels better about his death now because now she knows he was "disgusting" meanwhile her mom has had several boyfriends since their divorce.
I've been feeling fucking weird about it all day, considering breaking up with her. I've voiced my opinion on the whole thing and she's acting like I'm being a dick. Thoughts? |
