She told the Rabbi to pound sand and that she didn't believe any of that and never looked back.

I'll tell you that of all the God-believers I know as adults, most are male... and I associate with way more women than men.
If I had to explain it by painting broad strokes, I'd say that men are more stubborn and less likely to admit to themselves when they've made a mistake. Women are constantly reevaluating their beliefs. So they're more likely to break out of religious brainwashing. |
