I thought it was a letdown. Lots of aliasing, definitely not running at 4K. Bad sound effects compared to original games. Control scheme is fuckked and the mapping is very awkward and doesn't even try to approximate the N64 control scheme at all (playing on the pro controller).
You shoot with A, bomb Y, brake B, boost X. It's completely fucked. I'm always doing the wrong thing.
It should be shoot B, bomb y, brake A, Boost X.
Best part of the demo was the cutscenes.

I mean they probably could’ve just done the SNES scheme. Shoot Y bomb B, boost X slow A.
Y was the most alpha button on SNES iirc. A was beta bc it was the JRPG text button.

Idk I feel like I could do what I say in the original. in this game you have to aim and shoot while also dodging things. On N64 iirc it felt like bosses were pushovers. The boss Killed me the first time (normal lol). In n64 I felt like I was either shooting or dodging, not both at the same time unless it’s Andross.
