I cannot imagine how pissed off I would have been as an ausa, or how thrilled I would be now as a defense attorney, to call up a juror personally, after my consultant told me some story I was skeptical as shit over, and hear him/her say "...yeah and then she told us to not trust his body language because he's a sociopath and everyone in the legal community knows it--"
We talk a lot of shit about fat officious dumb-as-dogshit karens who can't mind their own fucking business, but this one really came through for everyone.

lawyer tired of GC, shrew wife, gay son snaps and does the right thing.
bitch clerk can't mind her own business and burns down a slam dunk conviction.
he continues to rot in jail on other convictions while awaiting retrial for murder.

Toward the end of the trial, after the Presidents' Day break
but before Mr. Murdaugh testified, the clerk of court,
Rebecca Hill, told the jury "not to be fooled" by the
evidence presented by Mr. Murdaugh's attorneys, which I
understood to mean that Mr. Murdaugh would lie when he
testifies.
She also instructed the jury "to watch him closely"
immediately before he testified, including [to] "look at his
actions" and "look at his movements," which I understood
to mean he was guilty.

that's just one snippet. the opinion is worth reading.
as i read news stories about the reversal i initially wondered if the reporters got it wrong because they kept saying that the clerk engaged in misconduct and i assumed they meant the prosecutor.
it's just fucking crazy what she did.
