Codex is better at long running agent processes. Another thing is that even in chat, Fable isn't at the clear-cut advantage the metrics would leave you to believe somehow. GPT in the regular chat webapp thinking for not that long is regularly correcting Fable max in my workflows on things that have a definite answer.
