Here are a few: Learned how to deal (not always effectively) with schizophrenic/schizoaffective offspring. In the work world learned how to: 1. raise money from institutional VCs and do an IPO. 2. do commercial real estate development. 3. develop a graduate level course from scratch and teach it. If you were thinking in terms of how to play tennis, golf, the banjo, clarinet, oboe or the piano, I did that before 40, though not particularly well in any case.
