"are you ok, honey?" i asked.

she became dead silent for i swear at least 30 seconds while i frantically repeated her name over and over. i stroked her hair, reassuring her that she was ok.

then she started wailing again. it sounded like "asaaaeee assaaaaeeee" but then i realized she was saying "i sorry i sorry" which gradually become more and more adult like. i didn't want to freak her out by taking off my clothes or hers so i just embraced her. we must have looked ridiculous sitting there in our diapers. i murmured reassuring words. she continued wailing, "I'M SO SORRY, I'M SO SORRY" and i kept trying to calm her down.
