his writing suffered, and he spiraled from there. i think he was living in new mexico to save money when he killed himself this year. and it all stemmed from his attempts to become normal. |

As you get older you realize that all the other stuff in "life" doesn't matter at all compared to actual life. Everything else that you "do" in the course of your life amounts to nothing when you die unless you leave a legacy that continues after you
I really sympathize with guys like him because I'm the same way. Trying to have a family is a massive sacrifice for guys like us. There's no way "around" it except I guess to get extremely wealthy and be able to pull an Elon Musk or something. I wish that more cultural attention was given to this dilemma that's faced by guys like us |
