Yes in fact, oldest shoe lacing was in Armenia (the outskirts of Greater India)
Oldest well-documented laced shoe: Areni-1 (Armenia, ~3500 BCE).
A single-piece leather shoe with preserved laces was recovered from Areni-1 cave and dated to ~5,500 years ago — one of the oldest preserved examples of laced footwear.
Wikipedia
Ötzi the Iceman (Alps, ~3300 BCE) also wore laced shoes.
Ötzi’s footwear and the lacing/fastening materials are among the oldest direct evidences of shoelaces in Europe.
