*admirable oops

It's all dumb normie women and the type of men who wore shorts in the shower after gym class and got nosebleeds a lot and tended to cry easily & were bad at sports. Fear is the only way they can feel the adrenaline rush a normal man gets from excelling IRL and taking risks or working through their backlog. Autistic type women (which I prefer) don't care for horror movies either.

I work in film & talked to a zoomer male with chipotle bag doodle tattoos everywhere who gushed about "Weapons". I said It looks sorta gay to me pal. He rents a studio apartment lol.

once in a while there's a well done one, but it's rare. and most of the time it's just a schlocky gore fest like those clown movies

I thought Zodiac was a masterpiece I had put off watching it for very long. That was a true horror film to me. Very horrifying. Scarier than some fag monster bullshit that doesn't even exist irl

Do you get a rush from excelling at making shitty threads and LARPing as a “real man” on the internet?

Did you log on this morning thinking: "I want to hurt a man's feelings today"? because if so, congrats. Mission accomplished.

Completely agreed, people who like "horror" are all deeply mentally ill and disturbed

I made a thread about this a couple years ago and got attacked by MPA and OYT tp

OYT bought an xbox because its a "horror" console it is scary to fire it up and be bombarded with ads for taco bell and mountain dew and also have zero games lol

I agreed with you iirc. You were like “horror movies are subversive and antisocial” and I was like yeah that’s the point. That is 100% unapologetically and unashamedly what I like about them.

they can be alright

i haven't watched one in a few years and don't really miss it but from a technical perspective they're often interesting enough to appreciate on the merits of the stripped away work with the medium

practical effects making a comeback happened first in the horror genre. the limited budgets mean that creatives excel with the format. sam raimi would've never done all that he did without starting off with the cheap schlock first
