People make fun of Elon Musk for making crazy predictions on absurdly optimistic timelines, but if AI continues to develop the way it has been over the last two years, the prediction he made last week that the world economy "will probably 10x within the next 10 years" could literally end up looking conservative.
That might be the easiest thing to try and wrap your mind around, because it doesn't require you to imagine anything in particular -- rather, just try to step back and broadly imagine what the world might look like in 2035 if the global economy is literally 10x larger than it is right now.
It boggles the mind. |
