Alito notes that the court reached its decision seven months ago and the only reasonable inference is that Kagan has been dragging her heels on the dissent in an attempt to run out the clock on redistricting efforts in LA and elsewhere.
Kagan also slow-rolled the Dobbs decision, thereby putting justices' lives at risk.
i've heard commenters say that she is a shrewd political animal to the core.
and here's some rank speculation. Kagan can't say anything about the waiving of the 32 day period because Elena knows that Alito knows that Kagan did. |
