The officer, John Spillman, had earlier worked on exterior security screening for President Donald Trump’s appearance Sunday at the PGA Tour’s Cadillac Championship, which was being held at the Trump National Doral.
Spillman was held at the Miami-Dade County Jail in lieu of a $1,000 bond on Monday, online jail records showed.
The 33-year-old has been placed on administrative leave from the Secret Service, the agency said.

Earlier in the day, Trump watched from a tent near the 18th hole at his golf club as players completed the final round of the Cadillac Championship.
Spillman was part of a detail that provided exterior security screening for the event.
According to WSVN-7 News, hotel guests told investigators they were in the lobby around midnight when Spillman followed up. They later reported seeing “the defendant masturbating next to their hotel room,” the station reported.
Security personnel later found “the defendant with his pants lowered and masturbating on the sixth floor,” the report said.
The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to a request for comment by CNBC. |
