I take my stupid job too seriously. Won't go into too much detail, but I have a large workload where I feel burned out by the end of each day. Saturday is a recovery day. Sunday I feel somewhat better, but I can never truly relax. I think the root cause is that I'm responsible for a lot more than I was a few years ago, and as a result I have to grind through each work day without taking much of a break.
At the end of the day, my job is not that important: I'm not a doctor saving lives, a nurse treating the sick, etc. I've talked to my doctor a few times about my difficulties managing stress, and I think he described it better than I can: I work like I have a gun to my head. It's clearly not healthy, and it's taking a toll on me both physically and psychologically: I feel tired most of the time, don't feel refreshed after a weekend or even a vacation, stress eating has made me gain weight, etc.
My net worth is nearly $1M with no debt. I'm not living paycheck-to-paycheck. I'm not a doctor or paramedic saving lives. But I still live in fear of losing my job, still feel overwhelmed by my workload, etc. I don't know what to do.

Once the concept of “burnout” enters your thinking it’s over for you. It will happen and you will never recover.
Apply for SSDI now because it takes a while.

impossible to answer w/o approximate age and annual income.
if you’re 26 and making $500k/yr, shut up and keep grinding.
if you’re 45 and making $120k/yr, you’re overthinking how hard the job is.
