I assume the disclosure was something like "The company engages in programs which may be considered 'DEI', which has been a subject of controversy in recent years and could subject the company to federal or state scrutiny or fines or negative publicity. In addition, any actions taken by the company in response may subject the company to negative publicity"

Which, regardless of what one thinks of the merits of AA/DEI is simply true.
