Most of the big important battles had an element of psychological warfare, like Poltava. Somehow Russians were able to peel off Swedish forces just by insulting them, leaving the IRL Charles XII with 1/3 of his men missing when the main battle kicked off. I mean he didn't know where that fuck his men were. To this day we have to rely on Russian accounts of what happened to those men, because no Swedes lived to tell about it.
Tsushima is another really funny lopsided battle. The Japanese were just huge geeks. They made bigger naval guns with longer range than whitey, and they shot them faster. They didn't flank anything, they just shot holes in Russian ships from a distance |
