Are boomers right that Gen X and Millennials don't take personal accountability?

No one says this about Gen X. No one even remembers that Gen X exists.
The thing that millennials do that they won't own up to is Consoom. Affluent people in John Hughes movies drove Cars the size of a 2025 honda civic. Awesome "countertops" everywhere atm. Boomers don't do a good job of diagnosing this bc they just talk about lattes and streaming services. But the spirit of what they are saying is correct.
Boomers consoomed too, but they had the money to do so. If you're tired of being poor, stop being Liberal and stop letting in lesser races like OP.
1960s people lived on "one income" with one car, no air conditioning, no after school activities, 3 channels, no URMs/ORMs fucking with things, and no offshoring. Millennials should work on these problems imho. That is, the problems of Consooming and Racial Hygiene. Until we address consumerism, it'll be as though David Foster Wallace died for nothing. doodikoff has so, so much hardware....

Tintcr when I’m 60 I will 100% blame millennials and Gen Z for everything. That said I have a weird, very Gen X contrarian take/strong premonition that the U.S. is too down on itself and headed for a major renaissance now we all understand how fucktarded our immigration policy has been for the last 50 years and we’re openly trying to assassinate the cartel leaders and giving “international law” the finger. I think we can definitely have another happy period of expansion starting in the late 2020s but ramping up in the 2030s, which will coincide with the peak of the Chinese demographic timebomb, Russia having to move on from Putin and Iran in a post-Khameini and possibly post-mullahs leadership crisis. By the end of the century it very well may appear to be a dead cat bounce but I strongly suspect we will moneyprint and inflate the boomers into poverty once the shoe is on the other foot and take their shit as we shove them in their graves and pile dirt on them.

Boomers will never admit that they played the game of capitalism on super easy mode but that’s what happened. It’s two basic things. 1) an undergraduate degree was a requirement to have any chance of living better than a paycheck to paycheck brink of bankruptcy existence and the cost of obtaining an undergraduate degree went up 10-20x between the time the youngest boomers were college aged and the time when millennials went to college. 2) for 90+% of boomers their net worth over the course of their prime earning years and early retirement was massively boosted by ZIRP that dominated Fed econ policy for the first two decades of this century. For 70+% of them this was largely a function of their ownership of their primary home and the collapse of housing starts in the U.S. after the 2008. So when boomers were at the peak of their power in government and corporations they doubled down on a policy that enriched them and exploded costs for younger generations, especially millennials and Gen Z.
It’s objectively true that Gen X and millennials were lazy and especially millennials seem to have had their brains scrambled by dopamine manipulating media. But boomers will never account for the fact that this response by younger gens was rational to the extent they realized that they were playing a rigged game that benefitted boomers.

Think about Paul Ryan though. He's like the quintessential Gen X idiot.
1. Loses a debate to Joe Biden
2. Pretended that Trump isn't a generational talent bc the GOP establishment told him so. Tried to fight him and batted 0
3. Retired from Congress bc he sucked
There is something wrong with them, like they're dumber imho

It's simple economics. They sold voters on free market capitalism in an era where America lucked into global hegemony. Europe destroyed itself for no reason. Berlin in ruins. IV French Republic collapsed. UK lost its empire. Moscow went full retard. Beijing went full retard. America ruled the waves. Goods were cheap, land was cheap, incomes were high, you could fail upwards if you were born in the 40s and 50s.
Then the rest of the world got its shit together but by that point we were hooked on easy money. We were all addicted to winning. And at that point there was only one way to keep goods cheap and incomes and stonks high, and that was mass third world migration.
Discuss.
