Any self-respecting heritage American makes everything from scratch down to the pie crusts. I strongly suspect your aversion to thanksgiving is less about the food and more about your crippling autism and generally low levels of social capability.
That said, Turkey is pretty flavorless if you don’t have someone capable preparing it, and even prepared well it’s basically a vehicle for gravy. But once you’ve had really bad roast turkey prepared by someone who sucks at Thanksgiving it’s easy to appreciate a perfectly roasted (or better yet smoked or fried) turkey that’s been seasoned well. |
