The Thor has input lag? Input lag on a handheld is unacceptable.

All non FPGA emulation has horrendous input lag & glitches. Nobody actually plays games on emulators they just give themselves massively inflated backlogs by downloading 200 gb gigs of roms they'll never play. They can blame the huge backlog for their inaction, paralyzed by choice.

The only thing they are "emulating" is being a 90s child of UMC divorce whose absent dad bought them mythical systems like Neo Geo and Sega CD. The emulators should have muffled background audio of 2 divorced parents fighting about NAFTA as you play Blazing Lazers on Turbo Grafx

Yeah it’s crazy how affluent America was before NAFTA. Sega CD was basically a success given what it was trying to achieve and its price point. 32X was a devastating failure because it came after NAFTA iirc. 1994 was a brutal year where the republican caucus ascended in power while the middle class began its ignominious decline.

These systems didn't penetrate into middle america. They didn't have the distribution. the Yakuza controlled all that and Nintendo had them in their pocket. No chance you'd see a 32x outside of a big city, it was Nintendo country. The Genesis was the exception I think because it has Blast Processing. I remember in school our whole class sat with awe as a kid who moved from Seattle told us about the wonders of Sega Channel. I was so jealous I wanted to kill myself.

For most of those Consoles that’s absolutely the case, but 32X penetrated deep. Too deep in fact. that was its downfall. Every wal-mart in every rural area had pallets full of them. It was a disaster. In a lot of these areas you’d find consoles or games only 3 months or so after their release. 32X Titles were available day and date in Mechanicsburg, VA.

I played a ton of games on ZSNES and Nestron back in the day and they seemed fine. Maybe I just didn’t realize input lag existed so it was lost on me

Tried visualboysdvance this year and everything was unplayable except RPGs.

this issue on the AYN THor has been tested extensively by both Joey and also Russ from Retro Gaming Corps. Both report that its NBD and not noticeable at all. Its OLED after all

I don’t trust the reflexes of some random Loser from the internet. Only the best emulators such as on switch online avoid input lag ime.

Also N64 emulation sucks. People think Saturn is rough but N64 is too. They just don’t notice bc it lacks games

The most credited thing to do is original fucking hardware with a flash cart but somehow nobody does this. They either Consoom $380 used games that are probably reproductions from India, but at least play original hardware. Or they get emulators with games they don’t play. Or they get those disgraces from china that doodikoff “plays

your knowledge of Emulation is, like everything Gaming related, dated by at least 10-15 Years IMO.
