Date: November 15th, 2021 2:03 PM Author: Diverse Dilemma My wife has gotten a lot better and has been taking her meds and seeing a therapist. However, things derail quickly if she gets stressed, isn't sleeping, or stops taking her meds.
She was making $45K a month working for a jail in OC for like 20 hours a week but got pissed off at work because a catty female doctor asked her to see an extra patient on her half day and became unhinged. Raged to nurses that she wasn't going to see the patient and wasn't going to listen to the head of medical about his proposed changes to her schedule/case load. Sent the guy a pissed off email demanding a meeting. He fired her the next day and she is unemployed now.
A recruiter happened to contact me around the same time for a great opportunity that will include a generous relocation package to Denver and a raise. She found a job in Denver and started looking at houses. She got pissed off at Disneyland yesterday and is now saying she will never mover to Denver. I am scheduled to fly out to Denver to meet the CEO of the company for a final interview and have been telling them I am going to move. So I am pissed and in a tough spot now.
My wife now wants to take a 3 month position in Monterey that pays $500 an hour and includes housing. So I don't know what we are going to do now. My wife spends her day at home now with both kids which ruined my chill work set up. I am paying for everything and she has Bloomberg on all day speculating on crypto and whatever stock is in the news. Also raging about California's politics while refusing to move out of the state because of the weather and lifestyle.

She absolutely has to be taking meds, getting sleep, and not be stressed. Things were great because she barely worked and made an ass load of money and we had nannies and a cleaner that came twice a week. She almost quit or transferred during her residency program countless times. They joked about it at her graduation. But what she does is get really pissed off and say extreme things and then calms down the next day and doesn't follow through with it generally.
I bet if I can get a really solid relocation offer to Denver and she gets a decent tele position she will go through with a move to Denver. |
