He can say that all he wants, but those countries aren't going to fight to reopen the Strait- they are just going to bend the knee to Iran and pay whatever tolls it asks for. They really won't have any choice with Iran mining all of the Strait except the portion that goes through their territorial waters.
Gas and food prices will keep going up in the US regardless, and, on top of that, there are going to be constant news stories about how, thanks to Trump's war, Iran is now the new power in the region and is making money like never before. Should play really well in the midterms. |
