24 mo

10k miles

$0 down

$770/mo

Electric SUV gets 336 miles per charge

Great SUV. However, there's no fucking way this thing will maintain 76% of its value in 2 years. MSRP is $80k. I bet it'll drop down to the 40's by the time I give this back in 2 years.

How does 0 down work with a lease, there are seemingly always these weird closing costs that have nothing to do with a down payment. Are you sure you didn’t pay $6995 towards TTL or something

A down payment for a Lease is stupid because it doesn't create equity. If I get into a wreck, then that dp is gone forever.

In terms of pricing, you are paying the difference between the MSRP and the "estimated" residual value at the end of the term. The manufacturers are literally guessing just how much the car is going to drop in value over the course of 24/36 months or whatever.

GM wants to moving these things quickly, especially with the EV Credit being taken away by Trump. So they artificially inflate the Residual Value so that you end up paying less money for the terms.

It's all made up.

Is it hard to get the idiot salesmen to not make you pay $4995 down and $299/mo? They’re obsessed with monthly payments.

Just tell them "No".

They know that EV's do not hold their value well and so they are trying to get them off of their lots as quickly as possible.

They also know that you can always go to the other dealer in town and get a better offer, so they're willing to bend over backwards and even lube it up for you.

I tried to lease a Corvette a few months ago and the guy wanted me to put $20k down. I was like no, $0. He was like fine, $15k

It's definitely $20k coming out of my pocket to rent a car for 2 years.

But it's not a piece of shit at all. It's actually a quality design that I've had my eye on for awhile.

Plus, after 2 years I'm sure I can find a good deal on a Vistiq that I can cop for good.

you really can't think of another car that would only depreciate by 20k in two years? I just do not see the appeal of something you recognize the market already knows is sps and will not give you money for used under any circumstances
