There was a shitty kid who bullied the fuck out of me because I was new and didn't know anyone. He would do stuff like pantsing me in front of girls at PE underwear and all to breaking my hand when he shoved my locker door shut while I was reaching in for my books. He wasn't popular either but one of those guys who punched down to maintain his place in the social hierarchy. Later on in high school he ended up apologizing to me for his behavior, and I acted like it was cool but I hold grudges.
Fast forward to last year, we are in our late 30s. He ended up becoming a middling real estate agent - the kind you can tell is generally struggling to maek it and is spamming facebook and leaving flyers on porches. I was in looking for a home in the $1.75 million range, so I responded to one of his facebook spam posts and asked him to help me with my search. He was over the moon when he responded because the commission would be the biggest he'd ever earned.
I spend the next 8 months sending this guy on all sorts of wild chases to find me the perfect property. I decline to make offers on all kinds of good homes, blaming it on my wife. He is working frantically and stressing out about ignoring his other clients, but I assured him that we were close, very close. He told me he was behind on his bills but that once we closed on a home he'd be able to catch up on all that and more.
Finally my wife finds the perfect home for her while browsing through redfin. I call up another friend who is a RE agent to submit an offer for us. Bully finds out, is distraught, angry, dismayed, everything and calls me practically sobbing. I told him that was for my broken hand, fucker.
