AI is going to do 8 hours of work in 30min. Partners are going to get PAAAAAIIIDDD. PE firms will collect big fees.
Associates fucked. Eventually the partners will retire/get pushed out since they dont own anymore. Then just a few lawyers reviewing AI work and all profits going to the PE.

Private equity (PE) firms are rapidly acquiring medical practices, with over 1,000 U.S. practices purchased between 2010 and 2020, frequently targeting high-margin specialties like dermatology, gastroenterology, and cardiology. These firms typically use a "buy-and-build" strategy, consolidating small practices into larger entities to sell for a profit within 3–7 years.
By the beginning of 2024, private equity owned at least 386 hospitals, or roughly 30% of all for-profit hospitals in the United States.
lol. ok. just THOUSANDS of medical practices and about a THIRD of all hospitals and growing RAPIDLY.

Post article link? I don’t see this happening at the high end of legal work (e.g., V10) – profits too juicy.
Also anyone who’s actually doing big ticket legal work would agree that AI is mid AF. As it’s been discussed ad infinitum here, it’s glorified autocorrect and replaces a shitty junior associate.
