Severe weather hits Branch County Friday afternoon, several Tornado Warnings issued
UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The northwest portion of Branch County got pounded by heavy wind, rain, and hail as severe storms popped up Friday afternoon.
The National Service in Northern Indiana issued the first Tornado Warning shortly after 4:00 p.m. in effect until 4:30 p.m. for northeast St. Joseph County and northwest Branch County, including the Sherwood area, after a tornado caused damage in the Three Rivers area.
A second Tornado Warning was issued until 8:00 p.m. which included the Union City area.
