Took my wife and kids for 3 days plus a day at universal. I’ve never been before and it’s meh at best. Hotel is alright. Food is ok, but so much greasy food hurts. Even my kids getting stomach aches from all this shit we’re eating.
Rides are rides. Not a fan, don’t get standing in line as an adult for 2 hours for a 5 min ride. Even the adult ones are ok, but that’s it
Also, Fat ppl everywhere on scooters. Think wall-e the movie was based on Disney patrons. Ton of foreigners here probably aghast at how fat everyone is.
Hate how much I spent on this. Makes me go nuclear every moment one of the kids complains because they have to have fun or I’ve wasted $9k.
Maybe a day is worth it but not 5

You shouldn't be standing in line that much - you have to get the Lightning Lane or wahtever and stay on top of it.
I think parts of Disney are still magical, but it is just way too commercial at this point. There's way too many people at the park. It just feels overly crowded at all times.
You used to be able to just show up and watch the fireworks - it was just an extra. Now there's people legitimately camping out 2 hours ahead of time - for fucking fireworks.

WTF is going on with this rambling thread?
You title it "Disney" but then say you went to Universal.
It's ostensibly about Disney "Adults" but it's really about your bitch ungrateful kids and how much money you spent.
Also, LOL @ spending 9k on three days and not paying an extra $100 on fast pass to negate the line issues. No wonder ur kids were pissed, they waited in line for 2 hours per ride.

Fast pass is 400 per day per person. Spent 700 on fast passes and that’s for 4 rides per day per person. Those go quick.
Going to universal Thursday at Disney now

Yeah my biggest tip for Disney is that you really need to plan.
If you plan it out and pay for Lighting Lane you can do probably 15-20 rides a day and have a good time.
If you don't plan it out, you might only get on 3 rides.
It's not an ideal vacation IMO that you now have to monitor your phone and keep your party on schedule like a drill instructor - but it's the difference between a great day and a day when you do nothing but stand in line for shit rides.

I went to Shanghai Disneyland this year, it was 180. Lots of cute Chinese girls walking around in cosplay outfits. You can take the subway from the city right to the park, no parking, no hotel needed. No niggaz or fat people. It was better in every way. Tommy T is right.
The Pirates of the Caribbean ride was hilarious, Johnny Depp robot singing songs in Chinese.

Disney only makes sense if you live at most an hour away by car.
Otherwise you are getting scammed. Should have went to Moab or Yellowstone. Shoot some small game with pellet gun. Swim in the rivers. Cook with open fire. And not be a goy glutting faggot.

Is this supposed to be about Disney generally or adults who go?
Disney is a terrible once-in-a-lifetime vacation for middle class families but fun if you’re rich and can go every year or two. Cruises are better though.
The childless adults are weird as fuck. Sadly Disney is catering more and more to them since they have money to spend.

There’s so many of them here it’s weird. 70% are homos tho.
Still amazed at how many morbidly obese people there are here.
Epcot was little better in today. Wish I didn’t have to squeeze it all in one day. Was exhausted for last 5 hours of it.

Recently stayed at a Disney resort hotel on the beach
I was jealous of everyone staying at the adjacent Four Seasons
By mid-vacation we're hiking to Four Seasons just to get a quiet meal
Guess which hotel charged more for a crappy room (no suite)

| **Destination** | Total Cost (Family of 4) | Best For |
|-----------------------|--------------------------|----------|
| **Disneyland Paris** | **$4,700–$7,200** | Europeans, shorter flights from U.S. than Asia |
| **Orlando (WDW)** | **$4,700–$7,100** | U.S. families (no visa, cheaper flights) |
| **Shanghai Disneyland** | **$6,160–$9,100** | Budget-friendly if already in Asia |
### **Best Value Winner?**
β
**For U.S. families** → **Orlando** (cheaper flights, no visa, but high park/food costs).
β
**For international travelers** → **Shanghai** (if flights/visa aren’t a hurdle, cheapest food & hotels).
β
**For Europeans or short trips** → **Paris** (good balance of cost and experience).
### **Money-Saving Tips**
- **Orlando**: Stay off-site, pack snacks, visit during off-peak times (Jan–Feb).
- **Paris**: Book tickets in advance, stay near RER trains (not Disney hotels).
- **Shanghai**: Visit on weekdays, eat outside the park.
Would you like help finding deals on flights/hotels for a specific trip? π

Disney World with kids is 180. Are you having fun? Are your kids?
The lightning lanes are great, but they do take some planning and it's frustrating that they sell out during popular times of year. FWIW, last time I was there over a busy long weekend, lines really died down after about 9, and my oldest and I rode a ton of stuff with pretty much no lines.
What did you get lightning lanes for?
Meal plan is flame and not worth it to try to save, at most, a few bucks. Occasional quick service meals and snacks plus grocery delivery of pb&j, fruit, cereal, pretty much whatever you want is cr.

It is 180 w kids and had a blast today.
The 3 part fast pass kind of sucked at animal kingdom so we rushed early opening to ride the flight of the passage ride, which still took 45 min in line. Fast pass was safari, finding Nemo (unnecessary but only option), and Mount Everest roller coaster. Did pretty much everything we wanted at animal kingdom except for the river ride ride (not rapids).
Going Hollywood studios tomorrow. Those rides we’ve done before -Star tours, millennium falcon, Indiana jones (unnecessary again, but only option). I paid for rise of the resistance fast pass too, which we haven’t done before.

I think Disney is in a tough spot because the parks are too full but also the prices are too high.
Obviously they're banking cash but I think they're aware they're selling nostalgia more than a good experience at this point.
Are adults twenty years from now going to have fond memories as a kid waiting for 200 minutes watching people richer than them cut them in line? Or waiting 40 minutes to sit for a parade and get stuck behind brown men crying to see Donald duck?
