Mariling • 27m ago It's easily the worst fanbase now. Not even Sonic fans were this salty losing to Mario Kart at TGA the way Team Cherry stans are treating Sandfall and E33. Even the way the actual Team Cherry devs sat out of the awards show, not even sending 1 guy is pathetic.
You not only have to revere these games, you have to shit on other games now. These people are all over Twitter right now trying to claim E33 is one button, unreal engine slop. And the fact the devs themselves thought so highly of themselves that they were absolutely convinced Silksong was GotY made me lose all respect for them and their fanbase.
It was gross how quickly the narrative changed from the first week release. So many people criticized the poor balancing, pointless boss gauntlets, and bad corpse runs. Then suddenly everyone that ever complained that silksong starts off at end game HK difficulty was branded a bad player, despite most of those people literally having beat the original game lmfao.
This is not an isolated incident. What you have experienced is just how that fanbase is now. They have overtaken Undertale/Deltarune for cringiest fans at this point. |
