It’s a lot harder to get unintentionally plastered on some 5% beer than it is with hard alcohol, or even wine. Beer is also versatile because you can get drunk fast if you want with a couple ~10% tallboys while appearing to only drink a limited amount so your wife or her bull don’t get pissed at you again.
