There's a strong body of evidence that social stability ties to socioeconomics. More particularly, that a strong middle class with socioeconomic mobility is a powerful stabilizing force
It's not a surprise at all that we are becoming increasingly unstable and LatAm-like as our socioeconomic character has shifted into similarly top-heavy characteristics
If you want to reverse it, you've got to reintroduce mobility opportunities and destroy the crazy pinnacle of the pyramid that has totally distorted society

autonomous cars will eventually eliminate the need for any delivery-related driving ever (everything from pizza to trucking)
robotics in general will essentially destroy the low-end service industry
