People who actually play these retro games are those speedrunners who stream in front of stark white drywall and probably have a ROM emulator or something.

Btw there are tons of new production pirated “fakes” out there and they’re kind of hard to spot.
Anyway I think Losers think hardware/software are just magic. There is no nostalgia behind a Cartridge with a ROM in it. The Instruction Manual Smell has more nostalgia than a Cartridge. There is actually something to be said for the hum of a lagless CRT and OEM controllers.
