Nietzsche went through the history of morality and noted that, as a descriptive matter, moralists tend to either endorse strength and beauty, or pity and weakness. The former is master morality, the latter slave morality.
Aristotle is closer to the former than the latter, at least in his aesthetics -- but Nietzsche would probably object to Aristotle's actual ethics as being overly rational.
An example of somebody who embodies master morality? Maybe Schwarzenegger in Pumping Iron. |
