Date: December 18th, 2025 12:17 AM Author: trip pink theater stage potus 11 years ago I won MPM. People called it a “lifetime achievement award” implying I wasn’t great that year. I always took offense to that. That year I made the Tremont posts and made it into well known newspapers. I could get into local papers like AMNY whenever I wanted. John Rocker, David Justice and the bench/bullpens of many MLB ‘90s teams were all responding to me. A Super Bowl running back too.
Just be yourself: don’t let these guys throw you off your poasting game. That’s what I let happen to me that year. I got offended by the comments and I tried to go too far out of my lane. I came back with Staten Island brunch and some brunch related threads. But I was never “OWAS” level again.
Enjoy it because poasting is just like media. Right place right time and your poasting might not hit the same way 5 years from now. The watch and plaque Rach sent me still sits on my wall of awards I’ve gotten in my life. My life has been 180. I feel like I’m a perfect human other than my unfortunate 5’9 height but I’m I can’t complain because I now have money, an awesome wife, 5 kids, a lifetime of memories/success, finally making big boy money.
Just remember no one can take that plaque and watch away from you. I’ll be there cheering you on. |
