My question:
Who was there to write down the conversation between God & Satan in Heaven and then turn it into what became a Book of the Bible? |

2) The Book of Job is one of the 16 books of the Bible written by an Unknown author.

Which also makes sense because a lot of angels didn't "like" humans the way the first kid resents how much love and attention mommy and daddy lavish on the new baby.

The meat of Job is the poem itself, and you might choose to start with Maimonides' interpretation (Guide to the Perplexed, ch. 22-23) to orient yourself. Job's materialistic understanding of God is challenged by suffering, and the human philosophical interpretations of God are taken up and dismissed in the form of the three comforters, until finally we reach the fourth comforter who tells us that God is beyond human understanding.
Did any of these people exist? No, of course not. It's a spiritual and philosophical poem. Their historicity is neither the point nor the lesson, nor is it claimed. |
