Sinema auctions lingerie worn during State of the Union

Embattled junior Senator for Arizona Kyrsten Sinema took the unusual step, Wednesday morning, of opening an auction on personal lingerie. The single item for sale was described as a soiled, yellow pair of underwear, worn during President Joe Biden's State of the Union address Tuesday evening.

Response from Sinema's colleagues has been mixed. "As an astronaut, I don't see any issues with this. It's really her personal choice," said Sinema's fellow senator from Arizona, Mark Kelly. "I'd love to eat those fucking things," snarled Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin. "Can you imagine how they taste?" "I don't know why everyone is looking at this so lewdly," said Senator Lindsey Graham. "Some of us- some people might just be interested in them as a garment." Asked whether he'd wash them, Graham responded, "No, absolutely not. I- I mean, I'm not interested, I'm just speculating here."

But not all response has been positive. "I don't know why she would engage in this, it's a total publicity stunt," said a visibly flustered Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. "Who would even want to buy them? Like, I'm sure there are other people whose panties would sell for a lot more." "Totally undermines the dignity of the office," said former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, currently in the midst of fending off an SEC probe over allegations of insider trading. "Fucking whore," was all Rep. Paul Gosar had to say, despite numerous questions asking for clarification.

Bidding for the panties opened at $100,000, and at time of publication had reached over $4,000,000.
