Date: February 21st, 2026 6:18 PM Author: wangfei why would you need specialized mb if you have pcie? chinks are making sxm5 to pcie cards. then it is just any mb. cpu and system ram arent that important. run open frame case and use stock cooling. you could do it easily for around 25k for a single h100.
if you want to just tinker, chinks are making pre built dual v100 expansion systems already running nvlink. they run around $800 usd, then 2 x v100 maybe < 1.5k. attach to your existing system via pcie. but ya, v100 sucks, too old, you might as well just get a 5090. |
