that song is the ultimate example of a song that feels like two different pieces of music of differing quality *bolted* together. it needs a different arrangement.
the intro section, the first 45 seconds, is so great, so atmopsheric. but then once the verses start, it loses all momentum. there are no dynamic changes. it chugs along statically for 5 minutes in a ramshackle way, with too much repetitive, busy instrumentation (pianos, bass).
it should be rearranged to reprise the intro section at some point.
