the first thing that comes to mind here is that Jake Tapper, the cnn anchor, is purportedly the author of a three part political thriller mystery series.
meanwhile it's completely unbelievable that Jake Tapper would have the time or inclination to do such a thing, or that anyone would ever give a shit about what Jake Tapper would want to write.
it's just money changing hands. Jake Tapper has to be repaid for his loyalty to the Mahchine in some way, and a ghost-written airport shop shelf-filler book deal accomplishes just that. many such cases.
Tapper, Jake (2018). The Hellfire Club (Charlie and Margaret Marder Mystery). Little, Brown and Company. ISBN 9780316472302.
Tapper, Jake (2021). The Devil May Dance: A Novel (Charlie and Margaret Marder Mystery, 2). Little, Brown and Company. ISBN 9780316530231.
Tapper, Jake (2023). All the Demons Are Here: A Thriller (Charlie and Margaret Marder Mystery, 3). Little, Brown and Company. ISBN 9780316424592.
