Kant is not remotely reducible to Descartes. He was one of the most important precursors, but you are nowhere in the neighborhood of understanding the fundamentals or the problem space if you think Kant is just restating the same ideas.

Kant was obsessed with Descartes. But so was John Locke, who wrote much earlier than Kant. Everyone was obsessed with Descartes for a long time and Kant just happens to be more recent to us in time
