You, a lawyer who has never added any value to the world (and has certainly never demonstrated any investment acumen), thinks he knows better than the collective intelligence of all investors on earth what the expected net value of this technology is. Ljl.
I am guessing that by "dignity of human life" you mean the fact that it will automate tasks (specifically your shitty parasitic rent-seeking legal racket that is a net negative to society). As if humanity hasnt suffered through countless haves of automation i. The past 400 years and as if these waves of automation and labor-saving trchnology havent massively improved standard of living while opening the door for new industries and jobs which had previously been onconceivable.
Railroad buildout in the 19th century ended up costing tens of trillions in purchasing power parity modern dollars. Ended up costing millions of jobs as many local cottage industries were outcompteted by national manufacturing centers. Unambiguously improved human life. Btw, nearly the entire passenger railroad industry in the US was destroyed by govt regulation between 1900 and 1920 or so.
You used to be more intelligent than this.

"collective intelligence of all investors on earth what the expected net value of this technology is."
laughable argument. We've had crashes and asset bubbles before. FOMO, gambling are powerful drivers of short-term market trends. I'd also add that profit may come at the expense of massive negative externalities that get passed on to the general public.

Have you read Dario Amodei's essay on what post-AGI life might be like? It described a dystopia and that's the best-case/rosy scenario where he's trying to sell AI to the public. Other scenarios include a shitty AI with retarded agents wreaking havoc online or super-intelligent AI killing us. The "upside" isn't worth it. And the people in charge of the tech aren't exactly individuals I would trust with our civilization. They seem pretty content with an anti-democratic techno-feudal future.

Ok so you've proven yourself an idiot. Yes, bubbles happen, but the idea that you are better at calling a bubble tham the market is what is truly laughable. Bears have predicted 100 of the past 2 crashes. Crashes and bubbles happen, but are rare. The last two big bubbles (dot com and real estate) were actually spot-on in the long run—ecommerce companies like Amazon/ebay ended up transforming large sectors of the eocnomy, and the housing crisis has only gotten worse since 2007. Investors in either houses or dot com stocks at the height of their respective bubbles would be far richer today. Either way "the markets are, on rare occasions, irrationally exuberant" does not make a strong case for them being irrationally exuberant in this instance. Again, naysayers have been calling both housing and the stock market a bubble that was just about to pop for 18 years now. Anyone who listened to them would be living in a cardboard box years ago.
As far as negative externalities, you are just handwaving IMO, due to your dislike of this tech as it threatens you. Social media has been shown to have real negative externalities through extensive research. This labor-saving tech? Not so much. But we are already seeing it accelerate things like vaccine research (the Moderna melanoma vaccine).
"Have you read Dario Amodei's essay on what post-AGI life might be like? It described a dystopia and that's the best-case/rosy scenario where he's trying to sell AI to the public"
Dario is an extremely weird dude, he doesnt actually really try to sell this stuff to the public. He is there for technical management prowess, not PR acumen or even for having a good vision for what the tech can accomplish on a societal level. He is no Steve Jobs, neither a visionary nor a salesman. That is not an indictment of the tech.
You rail against the techno-feudal tech bros, but ironically you align with them on their demands for regulation to protect their fiefdom (and yours). But at the end of the day, the outcomes for this tech wont be driven by the tech bros' vision for it. If this was how tech outcomes were determined, the internet wouldve led to a blossoming of democracy in China and Russia.
