Just a simple trip around BVI, sleep on the boat obviously, kids get to play in the water and discover several islands and also learn something about sailing, navigation equipment, rules of the road, self-sufficiency.

Actually, yes you should. My family and I did a couple of sailing trips in the islands like that when I was a kid and they're some of my favorite memories.

This is actually not as bad as I thought it might be. Maybe could do the whole trip for $25,000.

Finally something where your corpulence is useful to your family rather than a hindrance

If the ship goes down, they can cling to your extremities while your intense marbling provides adequate buoyancy for all to survive

Charter the vessel and speak only like a cartoonish pirate captain the whole time. Your family and the crew will love it

Hell yes, it’s 1,000% a 180 vacation experience, especially wth the right aged children.

If they’re a bit older then a sailboat that they can help out with will be much more fun than a power boat. But if they’re too young to engage with the sailing aspects, consider doing one of the power cats to make your life a little easier this first time.
